Oz2remind

First release of oz2remind has been unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. Using Perl's XML::Simple, it converts the datebook.xml file from OpenZaurus/Opie's calendar app to Remind format.

Aw, shucks!
Actually, what I really want is some way of keeping my Zaurus' memory use to a reasonable level. I've lost data a few times from the damned thing when (I think) I've simply kept too much data in it. If I can keep everything in Remind, I can copy (say) four weeks around the current date to the Zaurus when I sync. After that, I just gotta figure out how to reconcile two potentially diverging sets of data automagically. And after that, I'll solve the halting problem.

I just can't run it. I've had terrible times making CPAN work—I actually never managed to make work, so I installed everything with fink (a sort of package repository for mac os x, where most packages are pre-compiled). And then, it said that the ParserDetails.ini file wasn't in /sw/lib/perl5/5.8.6/XML/SAX. Of course, it's not, it generally is in /sw/etc/perl/XML/SAX! (Fink installs everything in /sw). So I copied the file from there to there (ln -s just won't work), and I still get this:
Unable to recognise encoding of this document at /sw/lib/perl5/5.8.6/XML/SAX/PurePerl/EncodingDetect.pm line 96, line 1.
Document requires an element [Ln: 1, Col: 0]
Any suggestion?

PS: I launch oz2remind this way:
./oz2remind -r output.xml
Is it alright??

Not sure what would be going wrong, as I've only run it on Debian Linux. The way you're running it, you would be converting Remind to XML, and it should be run like "oz2remind output.xml".
