The Floating Head of Ayn Rand: A Timeline

July 4, 1999: While beachcombing near Seal Rock, Oregon, a young Canadian woman comes across the robot duplicate of Ayn Rand's head originally launched by A=A some forty years before. Shocked, she alerts local police, only to be arrested on suspicion of murder. Bail is paid by the mysterious Aardvark Foundation, and the young woman is never seen again.

Shortly after her disappearance, the robot duplicate of Ayn Rand's head is stolen by a team of A=A commandoes. Police attempt to fight back, but find themselves strangely overpowered by the team's speeches on morality, rationality and the evidence of their senses. "I just couldn't decide what to do," sobs a distraught officer to reporters during a press conference later. "I'm only a little fellow."
